Neofeud 2

* It says 17 mins on record, but I completed this game just before release * Were you born between the years 1980 and 1990? Do you like cyberpunk and sci-fi stuff? Do you think people who unironically like Elon Musk are the most embarrassing losers on the planet? Would you prefer to avoid a future where the world looks like Blade Runner? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the game for you. You know those times when you're watching something that's making you grin so much that your face starts hurting? That was my experience with Neofeud 2. The dialogue is relentlessly entertaining and extremely well acted. It's jam packed with nerdy references and revolutionary politics. The protagonists are endearing and heartfelt, and the villains you absolutely love to hate. I don't have much experience with point-and-click adventures, and I found the puzzles ranging from simple to tough but fair. Figuring out the harder puzzles was always very satisfying. I LOVE BOTH OF THE NEOFUED GAMES DEARLY:)

I've been looking forward to this one and it's been great so far!

TLDR: Neofeud 2 has the diamond-in-the-rough sauce the original had, expanded into a full banquet by someone who cares a whole lot about their art. Neofeud 2 is an excellent example of what a sequel can achieve. Expanding its scope of story, depth, and length into a true saga; Silver Spook flexes their sci-fi writing muscles, utilizing the genre's full potential to explore the original's themes from different perspectives, as well as offering a satellite view of more overarching themes vis-a-vis depictions of colonialism and geopolitics. Whereas the original features a rag-tag group of iconoclasts, the sequel has the main characters working in interplanetary tandem with both the internal revolutionary organisation as well as an outside culture to achieve their goals. The increase in scope is accompanied by its growth in cast: characters with unique voices, backgrounds, and motivations each; their allegiance and trust at times tenuous as they navigate a deadly politlcal chessboard where the stakes have never been higher. A fantastic adventure game in the cyberpunk genre, nothing else like it.
