Play Hotline Miami instead, Far better game to enjoy.10 found this helpful

It's a Hotline Miami like game; a fast-paced top-down shooter where you move area to area. It looks promising from the screenshots, but sadly it's very unpolished and riddled with issues. It starts right at the tutorial - if you destroy the crate before being prompted to, you'll soft lock yourself and have to restart. There are much worse issues, though, such as the extreme lag spikes - only 10 minutes in and I got several of these, at the train and robot fights. The robot fight also glitched the first time I did it, with the guy not shooting at all. Another issue is that there is no feedback or transition for when you die/restart. The first time I failed was when I shot a civilian that I thought was an enemy... and I had no idea what happened, it just restarted the game instantly and took all my weapons. The screen also auto-scrolls. It's fine for the most part, but sometimes it will glitch and you'll get stuck. Or, you'll want to pickup an item such as health but the screen will auto-scroll and not let you. Oh, and the sound effects are pretty bad. They are 8-bit sounds probably made with BFXR or SFXR... they're ear-piercing. I only listed a few of the issues I encount…1 found this helpful
sucks when games with cool music and aesthetics are marred by terrible controls
So bad
Neon Hardcorps is a retro-styled action shooter developed by Sergey Dovganovskiy and published by Back To Basics Gaming, designed as a deliberate throwback to the relentless run-and-gun shooters of the 16-bit era. From the moment the game begins, it makes its inspirations clear, leaning heavily on fast reflex gameplay, dense enemy waves, and a cyberpunk aesthetic drenched in neon colors and pixelated chaos. Rather than reinventing the genre, the game sets out to replicate the immediacy and brutality of classic arcade shooters, where survival depends on quick reactions and memorization rather than complex systems or narrative depth. The core gameplay loop is straightforward and uncompromising. Players move through compact stages packed with enemies that attack aggressively from multiple directions, forcing constant movement and split-second decision making. Shooting feels immediate and unforgiving, with little room for error once the screen fills with bullets and charging foes. The game offers several playable characters, each equipped with different weapons and armor configurations, which introduces some variation in how encounters unfold. While these differences can subtly change…
