About Neon Ships: The Type'em Up Shooter
Shoot enemies while typing pop culture phrases to destroy enemies with your special laser attack! This is a classic Shoot'em up game with a typing twist!
We challenge you to dodge all the shots and destroy all the enemies!
Can you dodge and type at the same time?
Every time you type the phrase correctly you will be blessed with a laser beam powerful enough to clean every bullet and ship from the space.
This is not going to be easy, the enemies are unforgiving and you won't be able to type standing still, so... Dodge and Type!

You will face 3 differents waves and bosses.
Be prepared for the many attack patterns and for the bullet hell.

You won't be typing random boring phrases, you will be blessed with amazing phrases from pop culture. Type famous sentences from movies and series like: Breaking Bad, Matrix, Lord of Rings, The Terminator, Game of Thrones, The Mandalorian, Star Wars and so much more.

It'll be hard to finish the game, but it'll be harder see your friends with the best score than you do, so fight for the highscore and throw it in your friends faces.
Keep in mind that you can boost your score if you finish the waves in less time, kill all enemies and avoid being shot.

The idea of combining bullet hell and typing is alright, the gameplay loop is quite simple and a leaderboard is an OK incentive to keep you playing. What you see is what you get - so if you like what you see and you don't mind challenging your typing skills, give it a shot. However, the game is very short (a run takes a couple minutes), it has problems running in full screen (the window resizes every time a run starts) and it has a ton of visual clutter (which makes small projectiles really hard to see). Also, enemies that are shooting or entering from the sides are very annoying to deal with and easily ruin runs. 100% achievement completion boils down to pulling off a good hitless run, which needs practice (or fast typing speeds). Most players quit before beating the first boss, which takes a couple minutes to do.1 found this helpful
Neon Ships: The Type'em Up Shooter, developed and published by Sensen Games, is an energetic hybrid that fuses the chaos of a bullet hell shooter with the mental demands of a typing game. It takes a familiar arcade foundation—maneuvering a ship through dense enemy fire—and layers on an unconventional mechanic that requires players to actively type phrases in order to unleash their most powerful attacks. This combination transforms what could have been a straightforward shooter into something far more mentally engaging, constantly dividing your attention between survival and execution. The gameplay revolves around two simultaneous systems working in tandem. Your ship handles basic offense automatically, allowing you to focus on dodging incoming projectiles and navigating increasingly complex bullet patterns. However, the real damage comes from typing, which activates a powerful beam capable of clearing enemies and projectiles in an instant. This creates a compelling dynamic where typing becomes both a weapon and a strategic tool. You must decide when it’s safe to shift your focus to the keyboard, knowing that even a brief lapse in movement can result in failure. The tension between…

Fantastic game.
Another game with mass potential that I hate playing because of AUTO-FIRE . I want to shoot, I dont want to just move around the screen while something autoshoots for me. Its a shame because I know I would have liked this game.
