You play as a chronically bored nerd, stuck in a pointless office job. After figuring out how to get yourself fired, a “the world’s my oyster” adventure begins. Your goal is to start taking chances and explore the wild side of life. Along the way you’ll enter a highly questionable poker tournament, sword-fight a Brando-like tough guy through insults, run naked, and eventually pilot a German warplane from the 1910s. Your choices in dialogues can lead to different humorous responses, adding replay value.Key Features

How to Play
Control your character with the mouse cursor — just like in classic adventure games — or use the arrow keys. Use the eye icon to examine objects, the speech bubble to start conversations, and the hand icon to pick up or activate items. (You’ll find the icons at the top of the screen, or you can select them by left-clicking your mouse.) Try combining objects to discover the correct solutions.When unlocking new areas, you can reach them by taking a taxi. Progression is tied to exploration, finding the correct dialogue or item combinations, encouraging players to revisit locations (if they missed something) and interact with the environment to advance the story.Estimated playtime (experienced players): approximately 2 hours.What Steam players say

This game was obviously inspired by classic Sierra adventure games. Unlike some old Sierra games that can be more frustrating than fun, this game is more fun than frustrating. Recommended if you like retro style games, but it's not for children or those with sensitive stomachs.3 found this helpful

Another game that I wish there is a neutral review button on Steam. This game is pretty short and bland. At first I thought it would be a good one like Not Another Weekend but unfortunately it is not. Some pixel-hunting is in the game but most crappy part is that so many things simply do not react to your click. In other games when you try to use something on a wrong place the character would at least say something like "I do not feel like using this". But this one does not follow the usual pattern. It just does nothing, which makes you wonder if you click the wrong place or it is just a mistake. The only thing I like this game is the retro art. 5/10 and get it at a deep discount.
A nice flashback to oldschool adventure games a la C64, including the same kind of sighs one had when recieving a witty reply from a character. Some mechanics could use some TLC but it doesn't impact my overall curiosity of "Where is this leading?" Recommend for a nostalgic trip or experiencing oldschool click and point adventure gaming.
Short but complete nostalgia journey. Nerdy Quest was very short but felt like something from the late 80s or early 90s. Point and Click adventure is a dying or dead breed of game because they take a lot of effort to write and implement for a game that is ultimately short. If you grew up on "Noun Quest" games you'll appreciate the effort put into the feel of Nerdy Quest. The game overall feels very Sierra rather than Lucasarts and has a few weird moon logic puzzles. It is a very short experience and is linear. There are two action sequences which are very difficult due to how clunky interfaces from this style of game work. It is possible to soft lock yourself and some conversation trees require using the same prompt multiple times which isn't the best design. Overall I recommend this to fans of the genre and the price is reasonable.
