Love me a fishing game. There are too many quests. That's the whole game. Fishing is just a means to do the million quests, rather than a fishing game with quests. It feels like I'm playing World of Warcraft, just quest after quest. Some of them are silly and fun, but the only time you can chill and fish is when you make the time because the game keeps you busy otherwise. There's not much point to extra curricular fishing anyway because there's nothing to buy with the extra gold you amass. I loved the boss fights the most. I always wanted to play a game with "fun" mini-game fishing and this was pretty close. 7.5? /104 found this helpful
Nice day for fishing, ain't it? Hu ha! The game starts off charming and genuinely fun, especially if you're already familiar with the meme. Unfortunately, after a while, the gameplay becomes repetitive, with many missions asking you to do the same things over and over again. It's still an enjoyable experience for a while, but it doesn't stay engaging long enough to keep things fresh. 6,5/103 found this helpful
I do recommend the game, but with a lot of salt and only because I like the fishing mechanic and the content creators that brought it to use, this is a long review on the things I DON'T like about this game and why I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, it's a very personal one so feel free to skip. I have mixed feelings about this game, I like and dislike it both at the same time for many reasons and wouldn't recommend it to everyone, here is why. The main mechanic which is fishing is very fun, works like an RPG and a clicker at the same time, you either tap or hold a button to cause damage and then spam your abilities in order like an RPG game, which ends up being all you do for each fish, later on though some fish will require you to use items like potions to enhance your stats and more, me and a friend that loves fishing games personally think this might be the best fishing mechanic we've played ever! The world is very linear and has 4 areas, 3 of which are for fishing, the other one is a transition area where you can also get some useful items and bait. Bait is required to fish most things and you can gather it endlessly, all bait respawns in the same areas after a short peri…1 found this helpful
I'm a big fan of VLDL content, but this game quite frankly, trash...
It is fun to turn a beloved YT series into a small game... But at least make the game somewhat interesting, not fishing while handholding with way too much handholding. 4/10
