[h1][i]non - The First Warp[/i] has its fun moments, but sometimes feels as alien as the game’s main character.[/h1] [i]non - The First Warp[/i] is clearly a labor of love from the creator for the point-and-click genre. As may be anticipated by a game fondly incorporating so many classic sci-fi concepts, some of the quirks are a joy to experience. However, other aspects may have fallen a bit flat, and it’s best played by someone who’s into a bit of zany and understands the idiosyncrasies often present in some of these indie games. [h1]Game Universe[/h1] The game’s story takes place over six chapters and centers on the eponymous character non (and no, that lack of capitalization is not a typo), a purple alien with yellow spots and a career in the intergalactic shipping business. After being mysteriously warped away from his home planet, he must figure out how to get back home. The game’s tone largely employs humor, with non frequently cracking jokes that break the fourth wall, and this comic tone helps the game tackle the tricky science fiction staple of time travel with some panache. However, (hopefully without spoiling any plot points or puzzle solutions) there was at least one…

Quite a neat little adventure thing, with ample help for the player if you risk getting stuck (as I often am, not being the greatest fan of the genre)

Great game for the any point and click adventure lover. Funny and engaging. Highly recommend it and you will be supporting indie gaming.

Big Bug Warning: If you don't see something falling from the sky at the very beginning, and making a small crater near your home, you are already softlocked. Quit, reset your game in the Options, then start a new game. Despite losing an hour myself from this softlock (until I went checking the discussions,) I really enjoyed this point n' click title. It's oozing with charm and personality. It's engaging right away. The time-manipulation, essential to the puzzles, is well implemented and quite amusing. The interface is rad, with some unusual features, and despite a couple of aspects that could be improved for comfort. The puzzles, though weird, make enough sense to not be frustrating. My only advice is to zoom in generously when manipulating time, otherwise some items are hard to see, especially when the protagonist is in front of them, obfuscating them. I'm usually unfazed by achievements but, with so many cryptic ones on offer, they feel like real bonus puzzles, so I might keep the game installed to try and catch a couple.

I am sorry but I did not find this game enjoyable. I played for 45 minutes, but that is all that I could take.
