About NOREN
You are a soldier who opens his eyes in the middle of darkness. The castle you are obliged to protect is completely buried in corruption, fear has penetrated into you by a creature you have not seen before and you have become unable to even see. While everything was normal a few hours ago, now you don't understand how all this happened. Despite the pressure on you, you have to look ahead and fulfill your duty.
NOREN is a simple key finder game. The map of the game consists of several different regions and some of these regions have special game mechanics except for finding keys. Some features trigger each other so you have to guess the correct sequence of actions. Any changes you make will affect the end of the game. Despite the creatures scattered around, you have to do all of this in a dark atmosphere, with the lantern that slowly fades out, and keep your sanity.

SCAM ALERT. SCAM ALERT. SCAM ALERT. SCAM ALERT. SCAM ALERT. SCAM ALERT. As the store page states, NOREN is supposedly a 'simple' keyfinding game. That would be true if there were any keys actually in the game, but as it stands it seems that NOREN is a simple abandoned shovelware game that's impossible to progress in, let alone beat. You play as some soldier in a massive, dark castle, equipped only with a dying lantern. The light fades quickly, and you can regain light slowly by... standing by a light source. That'd be simple enough if you weren't endlessly pursued by dinosaurs that are programmed with AI which knows your exact location at all times; three chomps and you're 'aparted' from the world, where you respawn with whatever amount of light and sanity you have left. Additionally, the translation attempt is abysmal at best. Both NOREN and its developer, ThroneLab, should be banned from Steam. I do not blow the 'scam' whistle lightly, and I only do such when I am 100% certain of something actually being a scam. There are a handful of videos of this title on YouTube as well, with only one being over 5 minutes long. No one found a key. If evidence can be presented to me that th…30 found this helpful

Warning: Asset Flip!
NOREN is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The Turkish "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. Despite not being in Steam Early Access (where this arguably belongs), the game is missing features and is apparently incomplete. This 3D rendered Diablo-ripoff looking game has you "hunt for keys" on the asset flipped levels, but there's no actual keys, the developer didn't bother adding the actual gameplay to the game! It's unlikely the game will be completed at all, yet the developers r…8 found this helpful
This is not a game. This is nothing short of disappointing. There is minimal game play, absolutely no plot and it's badly translated.7 found this helpful

It's an asset flip. I know that's a bit obvious, but just in case you were in doubt, there you go. Full of bugs, rushed, empty, poor sound/animation/ai/overall design quality, completely broken english, barely functioning UI, you get the picture, it's a cash grab.3 found this helpful
Nope. Just Nope. Its irritating, weird (in a bad way) and just plain annoying. The only instruction you get is find keys for special doors. You die after two hits and after living again it seems that the game doesnt know due to the bars not refilling. the bars for sanity and light doesnt seem to mean anything. Just a big waste of time and money. It could have been something good but its just boring and stupid. Totally not recommendable2 found this helpful
