About Northern Lights

You find yourself helpless in front of the unforgiving Siberian wilderness without any food or equipment. In an attempt to find a way out of the island, you are forced to embark on a dangerous journey that will test your survival capabilities beyond your imagination.
There is no manual to show you how to survive. Your success depends on getting out there and using all your abilities to master necessary wilderness survival skills.

- Survival Mode: Survival is your only goal, and death is your biggest impediment. Will you live to fight another day?
- Choices & Outcomes: Keeping your stats under control is crucial. Not keeping your Hunger, Hydration, Body Temperature and Energy in balance can have repercussions on your in-game Sanity.
- Only the strongest can survive: In Northern Lights you will find a wide range of activities you can do. Be ready to hunt, fish, scavenge for food and gear items, start fires, craft items, and most importantly, endure the harsh environment with its predators and the variety of possibly deadly afflictions you could contract.
- Be the hunter or become hunted: Diverse wildlife, ranging from ferocious predators such as Bears and Wolves to non-threatening animals such as Reindeer, Moose, Foxes, Boars and Hares.
- A broad and animated world: A beautiful yet frightening island that contains a delicate balance between pure nature and an abandoned world composed of a variety of locations.
- Pick your challenge: You can choose between four difficulty scenarios, made for every kind of player, from beginners who want to explore the world in peace to skilled survivors who wish to experience a hardcore challenge.

SCUMBAGS. RIPOFF. NO REAL GAME.5 found this helpful
In my opinion, the game is definitely worth recommending. This is especially true for players who appreciate survival gameplay focused on surviving in harsh conditions. The game has great potential. The mechanics of crafting individual items, the mechanics of hunting and gathering food, the aspects of disease, frostbite, and loss of mind all contribute to the atmosphere and the feeling of fighting against nature. We also have variable weather conditions, which I really enjoy. There's a story mode, but also the option to play in survival mode. We can adjust the difficulty level. I'm only at the beginning of the game and exploring the map (10 hours of gameplay), but I already think the game is definitely worth recommending. There are issues and minor bugs, and you can't ignore them (in this case, contacting the developers on Discord can be helpful). The graphics aren't great either, but that's not always the point in games like this. Personally, I recommend the game and rate it 7/10.3 found this helpful

This game had so much potential. Its a real shame its been abandoned...SOOOO much you guys could have done to make it one of the best! Sorry I just cant recommend!
Fun game up until I got the snowmobile and after using it for awhile I became motion sick and had to stop playing the game. I guess I could continue on foot but it would take the fun out of the game. The map is quite large so it takes you awhile to get places even on the snowmobile. So all you out there that gets motion sick, I would think twice about buying this game, otherwise I would recommend.
