NOTE

NOTE is an asset flipped (Corgi Engine) pretentious minimalist 2D pixel platformer where can pretend to make piano noises as you platform around what's supposed to be a mockup of a musical staff. Yeah whatever. Platforming is precision oriented and fairly badly done. There's a "phasing" gimmick as you can switch between phased platforms. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's an ugly screen filter meant to make the game look even more obsolete... like the game looks bad enough already, but they actually went out of their way to make it look worse. There's no way to turn this off. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. I heard this game on the Facebook Indie game Forum. This game is made by a "one-man developer." Because of that, this game is very light and simple. When I first came across it, I thought it was just an arcade game. However, it was a misunderstanding. There was a clear puzzle in this game. Players have to break the path by solving this puzzle. I think the puzzles really go well with the game material, "Compose music" When you want to get your head together, I recommend this game. Your heart will heal. However, I think there is a need for improvement in this area. I can change the way my operating key before play the game... For better UX. I wish I could control the operating key inside the game. I assumed that this game had something to do with music theory or at least each platform would sound the specific note or something. It's just very simple platformer and it's lame.
