About Number Stomper

Number Stomper is a minimalistic puzzle game where you move up, down, left or right to step on numbers, reducing their value by 1. Reduce every number on the grid to 0 to complete a level. As the levels progress, new tile types are revealed that will change how the game is played.
Move with the WASD keys, any Thumbstick, or the D-Pad to move your number stomper block around the game board.
Stepping on special tile types will cause the stomper to move in unique ways!
Find yourself stuck? Use the undo button (Z on keyboard, A on controller) to go back to your previous move!
  • Minimalistic controls and intuitive mechanics
  • No time constraints, play at your own pace!
  • 100 hand-crafted levels
  • 15 unique tile types (including variants)
  • 2-4 hours of gameplay
  • Colorful visuals

✦ AI summary

Players praise the game for being accessible and genuinely fun despite its challenging premise, with appealing aesthetics, good music, and clever mechanics that evolve from a simple core idea. The main complaint centers on difficulty spikes at certain levels that can feel frustrating or require cheating, though most players find the overall experience rewarding and stress-free enough to enjoy in short play sessions on various platforms like the Steam Deck.

I hesitated to buy this at first as this kind of game often tends to be extremely hard or boring (endless trial and error included in both) but this one was totally not like this. It was really enjoyable to play, pleasant to look at and the music is pretty neat too. I did cheat at level 96 (thank you, Nana) where my brain just instantly said 'no' every time I had a glance at it. Could be age, could be tiredness... But all the others? Fun! I've played it on the Steam Deck. You can adjust sound levels. For replaying levels, there's no overview though (or I missed it somehow). You scroll through all of them but I didn't miss it as I went for 'no undo' from the start.

Very cool idea, it's a "simple" game that adds interesting mechanics that play around with that initial idea. Easy to pick up and can be played whenever you have 5 minutes.

This game is a gigantic ball of FUN AND FRUSTRATION, and consequently so very rewarding when you manage to stomp your way to the end of each level. Love it and the hard work that was clearly put in to make this an enjoyable play!

Number Stomper is a really fun game that is challenging enough with\out being too stressful. It is easy to play and the controls are simple enough to use even for an inexperienced gamer. I like the bright colors and the special tiles that you interact with.
