Off The Grid

pretty fun an unique but like all free games it is focused on making money off cosmetics but It goes beyond that, it feels predatory. There is a major "pay to win" vibe because of how weak your weapons are from the start you need better tier guns and attachments but you need boxes to get those, but you can't open those boxes without their paid currency. You CAN get that currency from playing the game but not at the rate that you get boxes. Hence the predatory vibe. Aside from all that the gunplay is sloppy, hit reg on snipers and shotguns is mid at best, and the key part that makes the game unique, the arm and leg attachments are underwhelming. Overall this game seems like a weird cash grab from some trust fund bitcoin investor in LA. P.S. I played on launch and years later and its not much better then the unoptimized launch with no new guns, no new maps, and no new anything other then cosmetics you need to pay for.

I’ve been enjoying Off the Grid here and there over the past four years across both console and PC, and it’s been awesome watching how far they have come. The game now runs flawlessly, I’m holding a steady 240 FPS in native 4K with zero issues. The performance upgrade alone makes it feel like a whole new experience. I can’t wait to see what else the team does with the game moving forward.

Game is empty af!

This game has tons of potential, I’m talking like arc Raiders Potential. The issue is they are missing major hit points. A few things I would like to see in Octobers full release that I think would really pull the game together as a whole. I get what they were trying to do with the marketplace, but I don’t see it as a key component of the game or even truly serving a true purpose. I think they should focus more on how can I unlock these rewards in the game or in different game modes. The optimization is definitely lacking, sometimes it hurts my eyes to look at the game. My FPS has been locked at 160 since I downloaded the game and I have tried everything in my power to unlock it and I cannot. So the menu and settings need a lot of reworking. I think the lack of game modes can drive a player to feel bored or that there’s just not enough content. Adding more rewarding game modes I think would be a huge benefit to the game. For example, like eight teams load up onto a smaller map, and your objective is to get to a specific vault, retain all the loot and hexes, fight people off and extract to win you get to keep all the prizes instead of just your basic battle, Royale extraction.
