Orcs Must Die!

[h1]This is a game I played as a child. Well... an old child. I was 21 when it came out. It was 2011. I still sucked on my soother.[/h1] Playing this game was a nostalgia-filled dream. It holds up to today's standards, even if the graphical fidelity is subpar. This is another [i]Torchlight[/i] moment: the game is so good that we can overlook its less-than-average display. But! There are physics that somehow some games today still can't do, and we have around 25 missions of tower defense mixed with third-person action. It never gets boring because of how the difficulty scales. By the final mission, you have seen the toughest challenges, but thanks to the prep of every other level, it never feels impossible. A very fun spin on the tower defense genre. I really enjoy just how active you have to constantly be because while you can make killzones no enemy can pass usually the traps are to slow or thin the hoard for you to mop up. Levels do slightly blend together in design but there's standouts here and there and the game is short enough that by the time you're getting bored of castles the color shifts to a purple night and then the games over. Traps are solid for the most part, only ones that sucks or feels redundant is either the pounder or the steam trap, because by the time you unlock and have the skulls to upgrade pounder youve unlocked swinging mace which is pounder but better so it loses its niche beyond the stun, which push wall and half your weapons can already do. Steam trap all it really does is stall enemies and makes it hard to hit their ragdolls with spells and it's pretty funny tossing ogres around stalling ain't the best if you want that par time and all 5 skulls in a level. Solid Tower defense classic still holds up but you should probably get the second game instead 7.5/10 .

Not bad. A short, funny little game without much plot and some pretty unique and fun gameplay.

SPELLBOOK WON'T OPEN BUG SOLUTION!!! (B key won't work) So, if your Spellbook won't work you have to go to main menu, press downloadable content (in order to open the steam store menu), close it with alt+tab (or whatever bind you have) then you can go play. I like the game. It does not feel old despite all these years (15) but.. i almost gave up because of this bug. I give it a 8.25/10.. (I would give it a 10 but playing co op is required for a 10)
