Nia Davis, has been taken to the basement of an unfamiliar house. Waking up in a haze, Nia does not remember anything before this moment. In her weakened state, she overhears her captor and learns she does not have much time left to live. He is obsessed, and no one else can have her. She isn’t the first woman he’s brought down here and there has to be some way out.
Our Secret Below is a story-driven escape room that goes deeper than things appear. Search through the belongings of your captor, learn all you can, and find out why this man is so obsessed. Find keys, codes, and other items to unlock personal belongings and make your escape without being caught. But strange things start to happen the more you find. Your captivity may be more than it seems.

First and foremost, I LOVE the vibe of this game! I played a lot of Mortuary Assistant and this game has very similar spooky vibes. I wanted to keep playing this! That being said, I didn't find the puzzles intuitive at ALL. Most of them made me feel stupid or frustrated, not clever. I read everything, I wrote down notes, I figured out the motion sensors (kind of?), but I never did get into the computer, so I was stuck. I'm not sure how he caught me the second time, as Id just disabled the alarm system, so there's a lot of rules that are never explained. Once you're caught, you have to start over. Things are now hidden in different places and codes are different. There is also no save file, you're meant to play til the end. I never figured out how to open the safe, the weird symbols box, the security box .... I did eventually get the body outline on the ground with a clue for the symbols box, but the clue felt useless. I messed with the box for ages. Other clues were never used, either because I couldn't make sense of them, or I wasn't able to get far enough to use them. I really want to play this more and figure out the puzzles, but there needs to be more "help", more intuitive …3 found this helpful
As a big fan of the [i] The Mortuary Assistant [/i], I was curious about DarkStone Digital's other work and was pleasantly surprised. While the puzzles are a bit convoluted, I found the story across multiple playthroughs very interesting. That being said, set aside an hour or two to complete a run since there is no saving. I prefer [i] The Mortuary Assistant [/i] overall, but this is still a great game to fans of puzzle-based horror games.1 found this helpful

After discovering and loving The Mortuary Assistant (and unlocking all achievements) I started to look into the older games of the dev. Honestly, OSB really got me! The puzzles are very clever, just the type I used to solve when I was a teenager (there were no guides back then), and everytime I solved something, it felt so rewarding, like I´m not stupid :)))) I did NOT turn on the tips. At first I regretted it, because there is no autosave (only the notes stay if you write them), so when you get caught, you have to start over, but as you progress, you understand more and more. And the plot twist! Great game!
game is alright, good story but its very slow pace and you cant save the game. note 6.5/10
The story an unexpected turn... And theres more than just the ending I got! Finding the puzzles was harder than doing them imo, so I'm not suggesting it unless you have a friend or guide to help you/
