Pain of War

Man Classic Call of Duty really doesn't hold up.

I think this game permanently impaired my neural activity in some way.

This is creatively bankrupt stuff, effectively plagiarism, and it's bad for everyone. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. Crashes a lot and has bugs.

Оставив в стороне героические мифы, разработчики сосредоточились на воплощении ужаса, отчаяния и бессмысленности конфликта. Графика, хоть и не является передовой, создает гнетущую атмосферу: серые пейзажи, разрушенные траншеи и лица солдат, полные усталости и страха. Геймплей – это медленная, тактичная борьба за выживание. Каждая вылазка за пределы траншеи – смертельный риск. Ресурсы ограничены, а враг превосходит числом. Необходимо тщательно планировать каждый шаг, использовать укрытия и беречь патроны. Особое внимание уделено психологическому состоянию солдат. Травмы, потери товарищей и постоянная угроза смерти оказывают разрушительное воздействие. Игра может показаться сложной и местами даже невыносимой, но именно в этом и заключается ее ценность. 'Pain of War' – это не развлечение, а скорее интерактивное переживание, позволяющее прочувствовать трагедию Первой мировой войны и понять, какой ценой доставался каждый клочок земли.
