a decent short escape room if you want to distract yourself from a bad day for 2 hours.

this game started strong, it's just there was only two puzzle difficulties. So easy a caveman can do it; or vaugue that you look up a walkthrough. There is one puzzle in particular that extremely annoyed me that has multiple actual answers, but only one of them is the accepted answer. A good chunk of the puzzles are basic enough that you don't need to actually know what the answer is since there is a limited number of permutations needed to solve. A few of them I actually accidentally solved without knowing the solution due to this. I ended up dropping the game because I noticed a reoccuring trait of the only puzzle style being given is the "find the pattern" style puzzles.

While I'm recommending it, I'd say you should get it on sale, and only play this if you're dying for any kind of escape room game because you've finished most of the other major ones, it's a fun way to kill like 2-3 hours. Like my review for Tested on Humans another of their games, it's not bad, it's just not exceptional. This game expects you to be fairly advanced in reverse engineering puzzles, this is not a beginner friendly escape room game. While Tested on Humans had some rough puzzle solutions it was overall good, the later puzzles in Palindrome Syndrome were just obscure enough to make me frustrated so I was a bit less happy here. Also playing this on Steam Deck isn't great. It runs fairly well but the virtual cursor stuff is kind of annoying for many puzzles.

MC should really get over it. You did your best. Kick back and enjoy some pizza and milk. Less than two hours for this one, because it was mostly easy. Get it on sale!

This game is a straightforward puzzle-solving game where you walk around and investigate mysterious circumstances. The puzzles are classic puzzles of the kind you'll see in many other similar games and I didn't have any issues with getting soft-locked. It's a fun distraction for about 1-2 hours, maybe more depending on your experience and aptitude. The ending is.. the ending. Does it make sense? Welllllll...........

Pretty Good puzzle, a little pretentious story. Palindrome Syndrome: Escape Room is a scifi game about solving puzzles to unravel a mystery. As is true with most escape room games, the set dressing is just an excuse for making interesting puzzles, but that doesn't mean it doesn't impact how the game feels. The majority of puzzles in this game are solid, even if they could usually use a little more sign posting for how to solve things. This game falls into the trap of making most puzzles difficult to accomplish, rather than difficult to figure out and easy to solve. Most of the puzzles difficulty comes from noticing minor details, or connecting disparate items that aren't related that are supposed to be hints to puzzle solutions. A great puzzle game should be able to point you towards the clues and the puzzle without giving away the answer, and that's not the case here. Luckily, none of the puzzles in this game felt impossible to figure out given the clues in the room, but there were a few times I searched a room for minutes finding nothing, only to look up the walkthrough hint to see that a seemingly inocuous element in the room was actually a clue to a puzzle. The ma…
