About Particles of Reality: Remembrance
(Game development in progress, screenshots will be updated when finalized.)This game is a dark, corrupted, and twisted otome visual novel full of bad, brutal, and merciless ends. Can you finally find a happy ending? Pfft... good luck.Remembrance is the standalone-sequel to Particles of Reality: Obsession. A summary of significant relevant events is included in this game, so if Obsession was too dark & depressing for you, no worries! But be warned, it's still a dark, rough ride, although (for plot purposes!!!) it's not as bad as its predecessor.
Series Information
You are the main character of multiple versions (aka Routes) of multiple clusters of reality (aka Worlds). The characters around you will always be the same people, but the worlds will vary wildly. But... what does any of this have to do with you destroying reality?!This game is the second World called "Remembrance". The first was "Obsession." Each world is its own universe and unique story. Obsession & Remembrance plot lines are not related in any way. Only the Particles mystery & Ethereal beings connect them.Game Features:
- Choose-your-own-adventure style dark, dramatic, violent otome visual novel.
- MC customizable full name (self-insertion is not recommended)
- The MC is now a mostly confident and intelligent woman. No more cowering, phobias, and (usually?) painful naivety.
- Light / Partial / Limited voiced dialog for all love interests (in Obsession - Abridged too!)
- Minimum of 7 CGs per love interest character (plus others!)
- 6 love interests (breakdown at the end)
- 8 wildly different endings per character
- Bonus Content: Side, mini, and what if stories for each love interest!
- Achievements and in-game Achievement screen
- \ wordcount. \ hours of content (at 200wpm average reading speed) \
- Trigger warnings are listed per route. Review them for your own good!
- Walkthroughs available in game.
- 95% of choices change the ending. Those that do not are clearly labelled (unless indicators are disabled in settings).
- A healthy relationship with your mom & sister! (In this series? WTF?)
- Maybe a happy ending somewhere? No promises.
What are the triggering themes?
THE MAIN CHARACTER WILL DIE. A LOT. In upsetting ways.100% chance ALL mortal characters will die at some point. We gotta be fair, right?Bad & vulgar language, adult themes, gore, extreme violence, murder, suicide, stalking, abuse, references to sex & alcohol & drugs, unhealthy romanticized behaviors, brutal deaths, blood, manipulation, gaslighting, a variety of (poorly and inaccurately represented) mental illnesses, sexual harassment, dubious consent, unwanted groping, and more should all be expected. This game is NOT an accurate representation of anything!Ooookay... what am I safe from?
- No child abuse. All characters are 20+ (except the cat I guess... probably?).
- No incest.
- No animal abuse.
The characters from Obsession are the same... but also different.
If you played "Obsession", you have certain expectations of the characters you already know. But these men have changed...Nature vs. Nurture? What makes us who we are today? In Particles of Reality, the answer is both. There are core factors about our personality that are constant throughout realities. "I was born this way." So for example, Alexander will always be a pervert, Quinn will always be gender-fluid.A curious question to consider: What traits make up the core personality and what is flexible? It may not always be what you expect. However, our upbringing also changes us. In Obsession, Monika had an abusive & neglectful family, which made her timid and afraid. In Remembrance, Monika had a healthy, loving family. She is now a strong and confident woman, but it also means she may be stubborn... and she'll do anything to protect her loved ones. All the love interests have their own new goals, values, morals, agendas, and motivations. These may have changed since Obsession. Not all may be in your best interests. The characters you know are still here, but... a lot has changed. You may not know them as well as you think.Community reviews
