About Pathfinders: Memories

Pathfinders are eager to know more about human History. They have studied different civilizations of the past.
With the support of the scientist Albert New, they travel through space and time, visiting these ancient people in person.
Their objective is to collect relics from each civilization and create a museum of human memories.
To achieve this, they will have to go through dangerous paths, facing obstacles, entrapments, and enemies.
Your role is to memorize these obstacles and draw a safe path for them.
Is your memory sharp enough to do that?
  • Six different civilizations to visit, and three levels of difficulty.
  • Checkpoints and flags can be used as markers to help you memorize the path. But you will earn a bonus if you don't use them.
  • You can earn optional coins in each level by going through more complex paths.

Short version: The game is plain in all of its aspects, and unfortunately, not fun to play at all. Not recommended. Long(ish?) version: Gameplay: very bad Gameplay consists of firstly seeing the whole level, thinking up a route for your character, memorising it (or you could, you know, just make a screenshot, take a photo, nobody is stopping you, but that defeats the little purpose the game has, which is memorisation), and then drawing it from memory with only the grid and position of entry & exit doors as reference points. As mentioned above, in my experience this is simply not fun. If there is any difficulty to be had, anything puzzling at all that requires thought process of creating a route to happen, it happens very fast (since levels are very simple) in the 1st phase of the gameplay, which is maybe 20% of the game at all. Rest of the time you spend trying to draw lines from memory. And to add to that, anytime you actually make an attempt to check the created route, the character takes ages to move, making this game even more bothersome by wasting time. Meaning, aside from not being fun, game is trying to bore you to death. Audio: somewhat bad It consists of couple minor …

This is a really cute and easy memory puzzle game where you need to collect all the coins and walk from one location to the next avoiding certain obstacles. It takes about 1 hour to complete all 60 levels and unlock all the achievements. Overall a really cute and fun experience.

Pathfinders: Memories is a (probably asset flipped) mobile-like "programming" game where you plot out a sequence of moves and then press "play" to watch them pan out. Like Logo from the 1980's but dumbed down and far less ethical. Less ethical? Yes, Mens Sana Interactive/Minimol Games are some real shady characters. Mens Sana Interactive have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. Actually a pretty neat idea, reminded me of something they would've played on Nick Arcade back in the 90s.

Pathfinders: Memories is a game mostly aimed at children through its visual style, but the levels themselves are mildly challenging for the adult mind as well. You need to navigate your Pathfinder through various ages in history - on each level, you get to take a look at the surroundings, then you need to plan your path "blinded". The progression through the 6 stages and 60 levels is mostly good, there are some interesting challenges, and the game doesn't try to overwhelm you with complexity - there's always a reasonably simple way to memorize the significant items on the screen. The background music is a highlight, too, it makes the game very relaxing.
