About Peasant TD

Upgrade your peasants with devastating weaponry in an attempt to hold back the Viking onslaught.

Gameplay

Gold is acquired at the completion of each round and can be used to purchase weapon cards at the shop. Peasants can be upgraded by dragging these weapons onto them.

Weapon cards can be upgraded at the forge as long as you meet the requirements.

The forge can be progressed through multiple tiers, unlocking deadlier weaponry at every turn.

Win by completing every wave, earning stars which allow you to unlock more maps.

Builds

There are a countless number of ways to build your defences. Most tower abilities stack with each other so you may want to build many of the same tower, however doing so will be costly and may leave gaps in your strategy.

The weapon cards sold at the shop are randomised but can be refreshed at a cost. As a result, it is possible to build the same way every game, but it will often be very expensive to do so. To play efficiently, adaptation is necessary.

Early days, but a good cheap little Tower Defense title. Graphics are fairly basic, but it gets interesting when you get into the upgrade paths. Not a lot of help (unless I have missed something) and I had to roll through the keyboard to find the exit keys for the Shop and Forge menu's ( 1 & 2 on the keyboard). Some indication of unit range before you place weapons would also be good - but you will work it out as you go along. P.S. You have to complete level 30 to finish a run.

First of all, I appreciate this game's style and music design. It doesn't feel like the average mobile game-esque vibe that many current year tower defense takes up; It more so feels like a classic flash game which is always an appreciated style in my opinion. It's a simple game, you buy peasants and you give them weapons both bought and crafted. It's an original idea, and I can appreciate some intuitive design in what is otherwise a genre full of copycats of whatever's popular. However, I do have some criticisms here. 1. It'd be preferable to be able to see the remaining amount of rounds, I may have missed it, but if it's there then it's not visible enough. 2. The balancing is pretty great, but I think to be able to actually tell what tower is doing and firing what some visual indicators of things like slow down and burning would be ideal. 3. Generally the particles should be more distinctly visible for the sake of clarity. This could be achieved by brightening the colors or even making the sprites more complex: For example making fire have a range of red, orange, and yellow bits inside the particle's sprite instead of one orangish pixel. Overall, I like this game's beginning…
