The island is small but there are lots of neat things to find, a variety of fish and bugs to catch, scenic locations to explore and secrets to find. There were a couple minor irritants, such as being unable to wear a hat and hold an item at the same time, as well as a finicky gliding system I never was able to figure out, but it didn’t impact the overall experience that much. - Not really worth it, especially at full price. - 100% the game in less than 7 hours, and there was a lot of back and forth to get more insects to be able to buy everything! Very annoying that you had to keep one of each insect and fish for them to count to 100% and get their achievements! And didn't know you can get a mount (much faster than running) until chapter 4, game doesn't tell you if I am not mistaken, or maybe I missed it. - Game is mostly fetch quests unfortunately, should have been 15 at most even on release, 10 would have even been much better, really the game is very basic and bare bones in all honestly. Get it at a deep discount, if not, you missed nothing. BTW, it is in a Fanatical bundle for 5$ with 5 other games from the publisher.

I rage quit this game. After spending hours running all over the island, taking quests, looking for items, catching fish and insects, traipsing all over the damn place to find buyers for my fish and bugs to earn needed money (or "duit," as the game calls currency), etc., there were two "obstacle course" quests I kept going back to that I could not complete because they required platforming. I was unable to complete either of those tasks, even after multiple attempts. Unfortunately, I SERIOUSLY SUCK AT PLATFORMING. Jumping, floating, gliding, or whatever TF to get to a distant target. The store information for this game said nothing about platforming. There was no "platforming" tag for this game. If there had been, I wouldn't have even bothered with this game, because that's a deal breaker for me. So, if you suck at platforming, as I do, you'll probably want to skip Petit Island. If you're good at it, you might enjoy this game.

🌴📸 Petit Island A cute adventure where your camera is your most important tool! Lily reconnects her Grandpaw's old friends, and fills a photo album to help preserve the memories he's beginning to lose. A gentle journey full of discoveries 🐟🦋 with around 30 fish and insects to collect! The mount system is so cute and especially helpful with the large map! I loved the Old Village and rice paddies ♡ The developer is active with the community! While the game didn't completely pull me in, it's a fun little adventure. My complaints are small: It crashed a few times interacting with playground objects. Fish shadows were hard to spot. Certain areas felt overly bright.. maybe adding dim paths, more varied lighting, glow bugs, could improve that? I circled the island so many times trying to remember where the bug and fish buyers were located (takes about 3 minutes on a mount to circle the map) and crossing the hills/cliffs through the middle of the map could be frustrating. A very cute game about childhood memories and giving to the next generation. It is adorable with a cute soundtrack and easy mechanics. I highly recommend for those cozy and Little gamers out there <3 It is a quick play and does not take much time to 100% the game. There are two handy guides made to help you 100% the game if you get stuck. It constantly goes on sale so I recommend waiting for it to go on sale before purchasing.
