I preface this by saying that I haven’t played Luigis mansion, and I don’t play VR This was a very enjoyable adventure with a very smart design and metroidvania structure. Some minor bugs did appear, mainly a chest getting stuck under the floor and I couldn’t leave the first boss area after the fight. But overall, it’s a super impressive and ambitious first outing for a solo dev I’m hoping to see more of. Sidenote, because of the artstyle, this game looks really good in 640 x 480 and I really wanted to play it that way. But the UI above the weapon wasn’t fully visible in 4:3 so I opted to not play it that way.

This game was really fun. I had a great time with it. Everything was like Luigi's Mansion but VR with some stuff that make it it's own thing. Still a lot of parallels to it tho lol. It was tough for me but I solved this all on my own. Although I did clip myself down to the final area when it was time to go there. I found that pretty fun. Over all I say if ya have not tried this game yet def give it a try it's a really fun time. 8/10

Edit: Thank you so much to the dev for the improved VR interactions! <3 --------------- I bought this exclusively for the VR support. I will not be playing the flat screen version. For VR only play, this is a fun little game. I still have a lot to unlock, but my initial experience is very fun and addicting. Luigi's Mansion is a clear inspiration here, and I thank God it is because Luigi's Mansion in VR is an absolute blast and something I didn't know I needed til I played this. There is a very clear amount of passion and detail put into the mansion and all of its rooms, and the interconnected nature of the mansion feels much like a metroidvania. There are several upgrades and collectables to customize your build with, without getting too heavy on focusing on it, and the enemy variety is excellent. Everything here is awesome, and the dev recently added features I had been requesting. I applaud the dev for all their hard work on this game. More people should support this dev. --------------- My suggestions to the dev, if these are possible: [strike] - Allow us to interact with more stuff in VR with our hands, such as physically putting the key into the lock and turning it, grabbin…

I know this is a budget title by an indie dev, but I just can't recommend this. I really wanted to like this, I love the Luigi's Mansion games, and playing a game like that in VR sounded super fun. Unfortunately there were too many things in a row that made me stop. I was using the Valve Index. The worst thing for me was not having a seated option. Even simply resetting my position in steam VR settings while sitting didn't help. Some may not care but these days VR games have the option. So, I still gave the game a chance and played for a bit while standing. There also seemed to be a lot of issues with the HOLD grip option using Index controllers, but toggle also seemed to have issues. The janky animations, the left hand not really grabbing the gun or anything else like door knobs correctly I could look past, but the first boss fight in the ballroom was annoying (instant fail until you figure out how to trigger second phase) and constantly respawning enemies like the pumpkins in hallways just bugged me a lot. The game apparently doesn't pause in inventory, so don't try to read journals with the infinite pumpkins in every hallway. Just too many things added up to a sour experience…

Incredibly silly, a bit clunky, somewhat janky, very familiar gameplay if you've played or seen Luigi's Mansion. But still a lot of fun! The environments were great, the atmosphere was halloweenie, the puzzles were simple yet satisfying, the characters were irritating, and I had a great time :) I love a big haunted house, I love halloween, and I love finding secrets. This had all that and kept me entertained. (Played on PC, not VR)
