(game complete at 2.2 hours of gameplay at time of review, part of my review all my games effort) (short version) Absolutely a great game and worth a look, $10 is a great price and I'd pay even up to $20. An artistic style I haven't seen yet, I played from start to finish without stopping. Sure the graphics are a bit rough but graphics don't matter if your game is just this damn good. A true gem in the desert of gaming. (long version) At the start I was a bit worried about this game but oh my god I'm glad I didn't try to skip the main scene, or just give up in frustration, because of dealing with the frequent disappointing games I've been going though. This was an absolute joy to play, start to finish and I'm even going to play the new game + (which is very rare for me). The graphics of the main game are a bit rough but anyone who says "Graphics are the most important part of gaming." is lying to themselves. Pac man and so many classic games have crap graphics compared to today, and they're timeless classics for a reason. $10 is a bargain for what you get with this game, and I'd pay up to $20 personally. Really like this. Good music Cool art direction Funny and interesting 7.5/10

This one's special. A touching and genuine experience worth having. Aside from the top notch story telling and character development, you also get brawling that's interesting and deeper than you'd expect. It really doesn't feel like anything else, and there's a consistency to the jank that makes it fair and satisfying to master.

The story is gripping, the combat is fun. The language element was something i hadn't seen in a game before.

9 for 10 I got this in a humble bundle, it sat in my library for like two years, and in a fit of curiosity I decided to actually launch it, and holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥. I was literally blind, knew nothing, thought it was gonna be some sad "explore town as a drug addict" thing, but no, it's a beautifully crafted arcade that explores(masterfully) the themes of childhood trauma, incestual abuse, and addiction. Phenomenal. Pleasantly surprised. Would like to see more of this, maybe polish out some dialogue and story exploration, but it's the most pleasant surprise I've had in years.

The visuals are great, the art style is unique, unsettling and ugly but it fits the game perfectly. I loved it. The gameplay was a lot of fun, janky but you get the hang of it, simple enemies and simple combat but very challenging. The story’s a bit corny and occasionally boring, but everything else more than makes up for it. Definitely worth playing for the art and gameplay alone.
