About The Babysitter
In The Babysitter you play Alice, a young girl looking after a five years old child, Johan, while his parents are out for dinner. What started as a normal babysitting job, soon turns into an incredible adventure after Johan has gone missing. Guide Alice through a fantasy world filled with traps and puzzles and uncover the truth of why Johan went there.
The gameplay consists of puzzles and minigames, where time management and focus on dialogues are essential.
Key features include:
* Short game/story (about 1 hour).
* Puzzles with randomized solutions. Play multiple times and try to unlock all achievements!
* Choices matter. You decisions in the first part of the game have consequences in the rest of the story.
* An easy mode is available for the casual players and an hard mode for the bravest ones (not recommended for first playthroughs).
* Steam Achievements (Windows only).

Not the usual RPG maker game. There is no RPG feature or battle, only story and puzzles. The developer clearly put a lot of thought in the story, which is well told and full of surprises. The babysitter would be a much better game if it were made with another engine.2 found this helpful

RPG Maker strikes again! The Babysitter is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The game doesn't even have widescreen support, and displays only pillarboxed 4:3, like this was developed on a 1996 CRT found in a dumpster. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. While it might be better if this had never been released on Steam under the guise of a professionally developed game, the developer has done the right thing by making their RPG Maker construction kit effort free.
