Ping

Ping is a free-to-play minimalist action game where you must move your mouse pointer around the playing field to deflect incoming circles, and "push" a rhombus to the middle of the screen to generate a big "push" away from you. You die if you get hit by the things coming in at you from the edges of the screen. The developer has paid special attention to making this game highly accessible for people suffering from various forms of colour blindness, which is highly laudable. Unfortunately the quality of the game itself is very low. Changing the resolution for the game doesn't seem to work, as the game just displays as a postage stamp in the middle of the game window. The extremely low effort minimalist "art" just looks bad and lazy. And the gameplay is incredibly shallow. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in …
