What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players report that this game uses stock images and potentially plagiarized artwork while charging substantial DLC fees for puzzle content, raising concerns about the legitimacy and ethics of the monetization model. Technical issues plague the experience, with reports of missing puzzle pieces that prevent completion, and a significant portion of achievements locked behind paid DLC. While some appreciate the calming gameplay loop and free-to-play entry point, the combination of quality concerns, expensive paywalls, and content completion barriers overshadow the positive aspects.
A bunch of stock images slapped on a basic GameMaker Studio, with content paywalled behind an eye watering $12 USD worth of DLC... how is this anything but a scam? Images appear to be stolen and used with or without permission from various band albums and other promotional material. In the past, Pixel Puzzles have been caught plagiarising stock images from the internet and trying to charge money for those images... trying to get YOUR money for other people's photography. This is never okay.1 found this helpful
Just leaving this here, because I have to "review" or "modify my review" for my nominations!1 found this helpful
I don't know how it is even possible, but in a digital game there is a puzzle piece missing. Like did it fall under the motherboard? Did my mouse steal it? Reading the forum, this problem has been around for more than a year and not been adressed or fixed.
Heads up: gotta buy DLCs to get ~41% points of the achievements.
It's free!
