P.O.E. is a gem for action RPG fans, especially if you enjoy deep customization and a good challenge. The game is free-to-play, which is amazing considering the depth it offers. From the sprawling passive skill tree to the complex itemization, you can create almost any kind of character you want, and the replayability is off the charts. Didn't really understand why I to meet Dad at the store though. The combat is fast and satisfying, with a huge variety of abilities to experiment with and Raccoons to fight. The game’s endgame is where it really shines, offering endless content through the "Atlas of Worlds" (AkA Bernard), maps, and seasonal "caves" with new mechanics. It’s a grind, but it’s incredibly rewarding. Visually, the game has a dark, gritty vibe that suits its world perfectly. Combat looks great with flashy effects, and the soundtrack nails the atmosphere. Having the option to drink for a milk bottle was a bit weird tho. The learning curve can be steep for new players, but once you get the hang of it, there’s so much to explore. The monetization is fair—there isn't any. A funny game created by a funny man. This game flips the trope of a father leaving his children to go buy milk on its head as it is the child who disappears from his loving family. The gentleman who made this game is rather strange, he appeared at my door during a snowstorm this past April claiming he had come for "christmas dinner." After inhaling a hamburger, he attempted to conceal the arrival of a large woodland creature into my abode. I would avoid this man at all costs. Anyways 10/10, better than any classic titles by Big John Games.

Why was this app asking for my location?

"POE" is one of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of games everywhere just by existing. Now, while there's no good 2D retro pixel platformers (Super Mario Bros doesn't count because it's not retro, it was made like that because they couldn't do better graphics with the hardware of the time), this is not even one of the less bad ones... it's truly awful. What do you do in the game? It's a basic precision platformer that looks like someone's homework assignment (they were expelled from the institution as a result of making this garbage). It's (badly) narrative driven as you help a father and son get back together. Whatever. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers.
