Underrated Gem of a game

Pogo Rogue is surprisingly polished for a student developed title. The core mechanic is tight and the game has a very satisfying "one-more-run" quality. I played this on a bit of an unusual setup: Laptop: Fujitsu CELSIUS H760 Specs: Intel Core i7-6820HQ, NVIDIA Quadro M1000M (2GB) OS: Linux Mint 22.3 The game was installed on a Micro SD card. The game ran flawlessly. No stuttering, no crashes. I also used a PlayStation 3 controller. The graphics have a charming retro vibe that looked crisp on the laptop screen. The gameplay loop is fun and the variety of weapons and powerups keeps things fresh thanks to the procedural generation. However, this game is hard. I have to admit, I didn't finish it. I managed to take down two bosses, but after dying many, many times, I eventually hit a wall and moved on to something else. I didn't get all the achievements, but the time I spent was quality. If you like challenging platformers with a unique movement twist, this is an easy download. It’s free, high quality, and runs great. Be prepared to die a lot.
