About Pit of Ascension
Pit of Ascension is a boss battle roguelike, where the different abilities you pick up determine what boss you fight. Can you survive 10 fights to ascend and become the Champion of the Pit?
Ascending is no easy task. When you die while challenging the pit, you'll have to restart from the very beginning. While death is expected, it's a learning opportunity. You'll find yourself dodging, jumping, and shooting through an eclectic collection of people, creatures, and even inanimate objects with unique attack patterns, quirks, and mechanics. You'll also learn to harness the power of each boss's unique ability, and master their use.
From the bosses you fight to the abilities you obtain, each time you challenge the pit is a new experience. With powerful abilities that combine in interesting ways, you'll find yourself fighting the same boss differently from run to run.

Your only goal is to ascend the pit. And it is not enough to survive: you must win. Choose whichever power you think will help you, whether to strengthen your normal shot, to give you a special power, or to improve your skill. But despite all of your power, despite your skillful roll, you are destined to die. And you're destined to try again. Pit of Ascension would have been right at home on the Game Boy, a simple game that's quick to play and a test of skill. Here in Early Access, there's a lack of powers and bosses and tunes, but the formula for success is here. Boss fights are (mostly) satisfying, challenging, and most importantly all about skill.
