"Poly Quest" is a simple asset flipped first person VR tech demo, although at least in this case the developer had enough ethics not to try to get people to pay for this really pointless collection of Synty Poly asset packs. What do you do in the game? There's not much, just wander around low poly dungeon asset pack nbits in VR collecting crystals and wondering why you're wasting time with failed asset flips. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations …

Not much to say but its a pretty boring wave shooter with intrusive ads

Игра "Poly Quest" приятно удивила своей минималистичной графикой и захватывающим геймплеем. Простота визуального стиля обманчива, ведь под ней скрывается глубокая и продуманная система головоломок. Каждая новая локация предлагает уникальные механики и заставляет по-новому взглянуть на взаимодействие с окружающим миром. Особенно порадовала нелинейность прохождения. Чувствуется, что разработчики предоставили игроку свободу выбора в решении задач, а не заставили слепо следовать заданному алгоритму. Это добавляет игре реиграбельности и интереса. Несмотря на кажущуюся простоту, игра не прощает ошибок и требует внимательности и логического мышления. Уровень сложности сбалансирован, и даже в самых сложных моментах чувствуется, что решение где-то рядом, нужно лишь немного подумать. Отдельно стоит отметить плавное и интуитивно понятное управление. Оно позволяет полностью сосредоточиться на решении головоломок, не отвлекаясь на борьбу с интерфейсом. "Poly Quest" – отличный выбор для любителей головоломок, которые ценят оригинальный подход и умный дизайн уровней. Однозначно рекомендую!
