It has a really interesting mechanics that is worth experiencing, but it is rough around the edges.2 found this helpful
👎 Buggy. The game writes the save games to the Windows Registry.
This game is a jewel.
The game isn’t terrible, but it’s far from great. It feels like it’s missing a lot of things that could have made it more enjoyable. The story is weak and not very engaging and the ending was alright. The puzzles are pretty average, and the gameplay mechanics are honestly quite bad. One major issue is that the platinum trophy is currently unobtainable due to a bug with the “Collect ‘em All” achievement. In some levels, it’s impossible to gather all the powercells. That said, the game does have some positives. The art style is great and really stands out, and the soundtrack is excellent, adding a lot to the overall atmosphere. Overall, it’s not a very good game, and I wouldn’t recommend it 4/10.
PONCHO is a pretty cool game for what it is and kinda relaxing as well, great puzzles, great special effects, a nice catchy soundtrack, amazing pixel art, interesting story as well and unique for how its told. if you like relaxing, puzzling 2D side scrollers then this is a game i highly recommend grabbing a copy, also dont let the bad reviews effect your judgement on this game, i honestly dont see what the issue is. i wouldnt change a thing about PONCHO
Originally I couldn't recommend this game because the collection system was broken, and admittedly there aren't enough gems in the game to buy all the keys in the shop, on top of the fact that there are way more keys in the game than doors. Overall it is a cute game with a solid mechanic, first playthrough probably took me 2 hours or so, every other playthrough has been just trying to collect things and then realizing the collection system is broken and that the last achievement is ungettable. Luckily someone made a guide to modify the game's assets to fix that, so I recommend following that. Regardless, well animated game, cool world, a lot like Fez but much shorter.
