✦ AI summary

Players find this a forgettable retro platformer with a balloon-jumping mechanic that fails to engage beyond its initial concept. The main complaints center on severe technical issues including poor optimization across different GPU configurations, lack of graphics settings, and low visual quality that feels more suited to mobile than modern PC. While some acknowledge the game isn't terrible, most agree it offers nothing special and is easily skipped unless you're a hardcore platformer enthusiast seeking quick, repetitive gameplay.
You jump on balloons but it feels more like a mobile game. A few stages with some minor challenge, but overall nothing special. Play only if you're hardcore platformers enthusiast.
This game isn’t terrible, but it’s extremely poorly optimized for modern systems. Unfortunately, this seems to be a recurring issue with all the games included in the Pacotão CGGAMES BUNDLE, as they all suffer from similar problems. For example, POPIXEL won’t run on my primary system equipped with a Radeon RX 6750 XT, but it works on an older Radeon 580 and NVIDIA-based cards (on an older notebook running LMDE). Another game in the bundle, Milford Haven, has significant audio and graphical issues, further reinforcing my belief that the games in this bundle are poorly optimized overall. https://youtu.be/rSoavPxWSRk I plan to try Mars: The New Eden next to see if it suffers from the same problems and will update this review accordingly. However, given the numerous technical issues across the bundle, I cannot recommend any of these games, even at the current price point. -- Update -- As expected, Mars: The New Eden has the same issues as the other games on this list, it works under some cards and configurations (if you run an RX580 you should have no issues), but it will not run under the Radeon RX 6750 XT. Again, buyer beware on this entire b…

POPixel is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one is particularly awful and has you jumping on balloons which pop, so it works a bit like an endless runner meets platformer meets garbage tier game quality. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game only displays in 4:3 pillarboxed aspect ratio. It's possible they developed this using an old CRT they found in a dumpster, or this game has been specifically designed for people gaming on PC's from 1995... either way, this isn't really …
