Portal Dungeon: Goblin Escape

Portal Dungeon: Goblin Escape is a masterpiece ahead of it's time. I first started my Goblin adventure on the 16/01/23 and have not looked back since buying this game. I am fully addicted to this game as I have left my job and cut off all communications to outside world. I am in touch with my people. My goblin brethren have been oppressed for far too long, and we have had enough of this tyranny from the orcs. I will save them. I have committed every waking moment to the service of freeing my imprisoned goblin companions. Every dungeon run has been fully planned out and completed to the fullest of my capabilities to clear the dungeons as quick as possible to free my fellow goblins. I will not rest until every goblin has been freed and can live safely in this world without being imprisoned or accused of heinous crimes. This I promise.

Thank you Konstantin for the Steam key! I thoroughly enjoyed this game, beat all 20 levels and gotten upgrades and achievements (beside the revive teammate). Sure it's janky at times with an odd hitbox, but the gameplay is fun and can be challenging until you grind enough coins to become stronger. Unfortunately, there isn't anyone to play this game as you can teamup with other players, which would be awesome!

Even though it seems at first glance like this was just a generic game thrown together with cheap assets, it ended up being playable and entertaining enough for a few hours. Just don't expect much. You, a goblin slave, have been given the task of clearing 20 portals. If you've ever played a game similar to this one, you won't have much issue handling the enemies and traps. If there’s an enemy standing in your way, hit it. If there’s a hazard, jump or avoid it. That is all there is to know. A stage is completed when you find a key and kill a set number of enemies. Controls are weird and have this floaty feel to them. Gamepad is supported, but buttons can’t be changed. The attack's location on the right shoulder button was the greatest mistake. When all you're doing is pressing the button, it's incredibly awkward. I don't understand why this wasn't moved to one of the two free face buttons. Common adversaries that may be found in every hack and slash game are blocking your path. You will only be battling spiders, dogs, rats, some large ogres and nasty leeches. Getting stuck is quite often a common thing for me. I was wondering if there could be go to back to start of level button, or possible to fix getting stuck. As of right now it seems that I keep getting stuck in the trees. Otherwise this game is good.
