PortalBox

The game is, in both name and visual style, HEAVILY inspired by Patrick's Parabox. It's disappointing that the developer avoids openly mentioning it. Still, it's not a dumb clone as the core mechanic is different. There are many similarities in the puzzle space, but box rotation due to different portal orientations opens a whole new layer there. Puzzles feel somewhat more messy that in Patrick's Parabox, but they're still interesting and focused on specific ideas. Visually this feels slightly less crisp than the original, but again, not much. Overall, this is definitely worth its price.

Pleasantly mind bending puzzles - a good start is previously having paid "Boxman" and variants. One small tip - in most Boxman games you can only ever push a single box - but with this game you can push a number of boxes in a line. Once I had realised this additional option the puzzles seemed a lot easier. TBH only found the game in Steam store when looking for "Portal (the Valve game franchise)" mods. This game not really related to that franchise however - but I like Boxman games.

This game was a lot better than what I expected, probably because puzzles and visual design are on a different levels. Puzzles are great and teach mechanics greatly, but I wish visual design was better.
