One of my personal all time favorites. Bit of a hidden gem as far as im aware. Far less popular than it would deserve. Basically a good old honest shooter like doom,duke,heretic,hexen,quake,wolfenstein, and co. Except the keys arnt blue/green/red. But the content recycling is definately good old timey. Fight your way thru a map, solve riddles, kill monsters etc. And once you can swim, jump higher, dive longer, fly, blow up walls etc. you can return each time to find more and more new areas within the levels. EDIT: Just realized that there was a feature i really liked, and forgot about. When you pick up ammo, it counts for the equipped weapon. Not only simple, but also quite helpful sometimes. Can always keep your favorite gun loaded, and also adapt to things like high numbers of specific enemies that ar ebeast dealt with by using whatever weapon. Small feature, but quite effective.1 found this helpful
It's something you have to play if you like retro fps and boomer shooters. But there is too much backtracking since they made it like a metroidvania
Tags: 1PS - First Person Shooter Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Remaster of a bad quality doom-like. Avoid. When I tried the game I found that the artifacts were just an excuse to have you backtrack to previous levels you already cleared to unlock the game map, allowing you true progress. The game has a puzzling, keyhunting, platforming, and low quality gunplay with trash mobs, the graphical presentation while close to being true to release is not much to enjoy, finally, I found the story campy and poorly presented.
Don't not be fooled. This is a metroidvania
Super fun old-style shooter, with good nice puzzle elements. Beware that ols style means dat death can happen in an instance. And the powers you collect require you to go back to previous levels to do things you cloud not do before. If you dont want to search for a really long time, I recommend finding the required (back) level order online before starting to play. But lots of fun in this originally very modest game!
Most overrated piece of garbage i've ever bought. 2/10
