Prime Mover

I preferred Turing Complete, where the signals are instantaneous. There's something about the Zachtronics style "things move in lockstep" that my brain doesn't wrap around quite right. YMMV.

The best puzzle game I've played. There's a bit of a learning curve but it is extremely satisfying. Another review put it best: "It introduces merely 8 [exceedingly simple] functional components (and they are ALWAYS available - no gimmicks!)." i.e. no lazy level design where a tool is removed to increase difficulty. Building something like an indexable array or max function from just these simple tools, and watching it come to life in the games juicy art style, is so fun. If your having trouble just spam some circuit boards and I promise something will start coming together. Also try to make your designs not rely on the timing of the wires until you optimize :)

For folks who love Zachtronics games, Prime Mover fits the bill perfectly. I found it to be a more difficult variant, and incredibly rewarding when you solve it! The highly complex components you can build with dead-simple atomic pieces is astounding. Having infinite space to work on is also a great relief, although I do wish you also had infinite time (mainly just for the final puzzles).

Very fun puzzle game, definitely makes you use your brain. Only feature I would've liked is a more in depth leaderboard.

An idiosyncratic programming game about moving and manipulating numbers. If you want to solve some very challenging engineering problems, this game is for you.

A roller-coaster ride of confusion, sudden inspiration, disappointment, revelation, and immense satisfaction. I spent about four hours over two days on one puzzle and finally (and horribly inefficiently) solving it was like that point where your favourite song hits the good bit. Using what I learned to solve the next puzzle in 20 minutes was even better. I doubt I'll actually finish the game given the 1% completion rate, but I've already gotten my money's worth several times over.
