I picked it up on sale. It's ok, there's a lot of sloppy mistakes that haven't been fixed dispite dlcs and seemingly being complete now considering it's been around 5 years since release. As a sandbox, it isn't really that organic, it's small and limited, the story is a bit interesting but dies out way too quick and I had 0 interest in sticking around for freeplay. I was able to max my stats and buy most things while achieving close to 100% respect with prisoners and guards. If you get it on a sale, the story mode isn't the worst experience, but I'd stick to something like Prison Architect if you want a nice prison sandbox, this isn't it.1 found this helpful
It is a very good prison guard game
good game a bit repetitive though
I thought this would be a fun or funny game but really its just boring and it feels like actual work instead of playing a game. checking reports for errors? Stopping fights all the freaking time. Prisoners are annoying. Guards and employees are annoying. I can promise you that prison is nothing like this. They should have worried less about making this a legit simulator and just made it a fun and enjoyable game. I wouldn't recommend anyone pay more than $5 for this game.
