Puzzlement

It's honestly pretty hard to judge. I would go for "neutral", but ultimately I think it's a weak not-recommend. The premise is fully described by the trailer. You're the red ghost, collect all the red squares. You can move left and right, and make a weak jump. The main gimmick is that you live on faces of a cube, and as you travel between faces, your local orientation (and gravity) stays. So you can enter the same face in multiple different orientations, which is often necessary to collect the red squares. You'll find some additional mechanics: multiple players (you control all of them simultaneously), blue squares (flips gravity), red cubes (you can click them to rotate the cube). There are 50 levels, and pretty much it. Barely any other features. No overworld, you just go through all levels in a row. No windowed mode. No undo, so you have to restart if you make a mistake. That said, most levels are very open that you will never get stuck. The game is quick, it's around an hour long. That said, I feel it's sluggish. A simple set of rules, but really mind-bending by the end. I will never be able to look at an isometric grid the same again.

I love these minimalist puzzle games. This one is a sort of 2D platforming puzzle game on a 3D space, where your character will end up flipping in every direction while traversing a cube to progress. This is one of those games that makes you feel like an absolute genius when you beat a level, but at the same time, isn't actually too hard to pick up. The last ten or so levels definitely had me with my head in my hands, though! I love short games like this that don't push a mechanic to the point where it becomes boring. Instead, this game gets in, blows your mind, and bows out gracefully. Absolutely beautiful!
