Yashik is a platformer game. How is this game $5, I will never know. The game is so buggy that it has trouble taking Steam screenshots to begin with and the graphics and music are just pathetic. The game features 35 levels that do not even need to be completed to process, you just have to grab the card and go back to the menu. The hitbox on the spikes are super dumb, you constantly die without touching them. A real mess of a game, which can thankfully be completed in 10 minutes. Overall, clunky and weird controls, terrible hitboxes, ultra short (10 minutes) and expensive ($5 for this!) Not recommend at all!

Yashik, developed by KGourmet and published by NedoStudio, is a small-scale indie puzzle-platformer that centers around a single, defining mechanic: the ability to create platforms in real time to overcome obstacles. Released in 2017, the game adopts a straightforward structure built around compact, single-screen challenges where the player must retrieve a keycard and reach an exit. While its concept introduces an interesting twist on traditional platforming, the overall execution presents a mixture of clever ideas and uneven refinement. The core gameplay revolves around strategic platform placement. Players can generate different types of platforms to aid in traversal—some remain static, others bounce the character upward, and some move horizontally. Each level restricts the number and type of platforms available, encouraging thoughtful placement rather than reckless experimentation. This mechanic introduces a layer of problem-solving beyond simple jumping and timing. Players must evaluate the room’s layout, identify hazards such as spikes or pits, and determine how best to use their limited tools to reach the keycard and exit safely. Movement itself is kept deliberately simple,…

Made it to level 11. Every time I press 'F' to bring up a platform it brings all of them up. Can't finish the level, can't continue. I've tried restarting it and the bug happens again if I leave the level and try it again. So yeah, I think I'm done here.
Cool idea, done poorly.
Yashik is a platformer where you play as a character who can create platforms. These platforms can be static, can make you bounce, or move horizontally. You get a set amount of platforms you can generate per level in a specific order, for example, you can get two static platforms followed by a bouncy platform. These platforms are how you complete the levels. There are 35 levels, getting progressively more difficult as you go, naturally. To complete a level, you need to collect a keycard, which is used to open the door and thus, complete the level. One of the main issues is, you don't even NEED to reach the door to "complete" a level. The next level is unlocked after picking up the keycard. Then you can just back out and select the next level. This defeats most of the challenge of the game. The second issue, the controls aren't explained to you, nor can you find out what they are in the game, so you'd have to visit the steam discussions or guides to figure it out, or just press keys at random till something happens. The keys can't be rebinded either. The level design is also rather uninspiring. There's not much else to say, Yashik …

I almost said F this game because I could not figure out the very first level, but after consulting the discussion boards and finding an answer I persevered. Its not great, but its not completely horrible either. A hesitant thumbs up.
