10/10 would recommend... it is good but very rough around the edges2 found this helpful
No hard saving, save points or checkpoints. Got killed after half an hour of progress and the game reset me to the start? No thanks, if it mentioned souls-like, I would not have wasted any time on it. Next.1 found this helpful
Very good theming, a space western on a train is always fun. Performance is about as rough as it can get why still technically being playable. Enemies aren’t very good, particularly the small drone that’s hard to see that sneaks up on you and take 3/4ths of your health. And the shooting one that teleports around. A good idea that could use a lot of refinement.1 found this helpful
Interesting concept for an indie game. The combat was straight forward and kind of too simple for me. All around the game seemed a little too easy. In the boss fight I found that at times I could just stand still and not be effected by the bosses attacks. Since the game is free, it might be worth checking out but only if your device can handle this game. I had tried playing on an old laptop, that was capable of running games like this one but for some reason it couldn't even handle launching this game. On an alienware laptop, however, it had no issues.1 found this helpful

One of the most glaring issues with "Quantum Rail" is the lack of an options menu. For a modern game, not being able to customize settings to suit individual preferences is a significant oversight. This becomes especially frustrating when paired with unchangeable controls, which might not align with everyone's playstyle or ergonomic needs. Gameplay itself is marred by inconsistent AI behavior. Enemies range from obliviously dumb to inexplicably overpowered. They often exhibit erratic behavior, standing still in the open or failing to react to the player’s presence. Conversely, some enemies become impossibly difficult to defeat, leading to an unbalanced experience. Additionally, robots explode with seemingly random results. Sometimes, the explosions cause sudden, unavoidable deaths even when the player is far away, while other times, explosions right next to the player do nothing. This unpredictability makes the gam…
