About Quarantine Circular

✦ AI summary

Navigate tense conversations with humans and an alien visitor during a pandemic to determine whether the mysterious extraterrestrial arrival is humanity's savior or executioner. Your dialogue choices shape the story's outcome in this two-hour narrative adventure inspired by classic text adventures and modern choice-driven games from the award-winning creators of Thomas Was Alone.

JOIN THE DISCUSSION, DIAGNOSE HUMANITYAmid a global pandemic, an unknown entity has come to Earth. A small group of humans now face a decision on behalf of their planet: Should they trust the stranger that arrived from the stars?Quarantine Circular places the fate of a vulnerable human race in your hands. Your dialogue choices in conversation with your fellow humans and off-world visitor will determine how the game plays out, and how its story ends. Work with your team to figure out if your new alien acquaintance is here to help the human race, or whether they plan to strike while the planet is weakened. This self-contained short story takes around two hours to complete and is split into several chapters. You can play the game in one sitting or, if you prefer, unfold the story in smaller pieces that can fit into a busier schedule.Quarantine Circular is inspired by classic adventure games and modern dialogue systems, and developed by the award-winning team behind Thomas Was Alone, Volume, and Subsurface Circular. You do not need to have played Subsurface Circular in order to follow Quarantine Circular’s story (though if you enjoyed one, we think you’ll like the other).

A nice short 3d visual novel in a sci/fi setting with multiple endings and good character development. Recommended for the price.

this is a fun game! i played it a while ago and recently revisited it with a few friends. the characters are fun and the story is gripping. simple decisions can feel weighty, characters feel consistent and well written, and the stakes escalate to ensure interesting tensions and conflicts.

It's okay for what it is, I wish I could give an "it's okay" review but ultimately the characters weren't that compelling. The chapters are extremely short so you never grow attached to any of them except Gabriel but he turns into a hypocritical idiot at the end and kinda ruins everything that's established throughout the game so it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, you can't kiss the alien which is another big negative.

As another entry in the *Bithell Shorts* series, *Quarantine Circular* inevitably invites comparison with *Subsurface Circular*, and those comparisons are reflected throughout this review. ✅ Pros Branching conversations and eight unique endings offer significantly greater replayability than Subsurface Circular A wider range of locations, while still limited, helps break up the minimalist presentation and creates a stronger sense of progression. Outstanding dialogue that gives every character a distinct voice and perspective. Conversations feel natural, layered and emotionally varied, making even exposition engaging. Strong thematic writing that explores fear, misinformation, authority and empathy without feeling heavy-handed. Minimalist visuals complement the narrative rather than distract from it, allowing the writing and performances to remain the focus. ❌ Cons Puzzle design is a noticeable step down from …

Short, but savory.

A+ little visual novel. Game is short (3-4 hours at most), but the story is very interesting with some fun twists and turns. The characters are great, the writing is good, and the music is fantastic. Price point is quite good for a game of this length, so don't let the short length stop you from enjoying something special.
