QuentBlast is a cool indie RPG, where you bowl to attack! In this thrilling game of chance, the renowned Dr. Quent Blast has taken you on as his apprentice. As he shows you the art and science behind bowling, enjoy snappy, witty dialogue. You can further refine your skills by practicing on a variety of monsters that want to steal your money. Slaying enemies may give you FunBucks, which you can use to buy weapons and ammo and such. Many items would make a good gift for Dr. Blast. Some items can be used to temporarily boost your abilities, but watch out! The protagonist, Kid, gets sick real easy when his Brain Fuel drops too low.

"QuentBlast" is a somewhat lulzy RPG with a bowling theme. You know what kind of game the gaming industry has never, ever, ever been crying out for? Yep... a bowling RPG. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this don't understand that. It should be no surprise to anyone to find out the gameplay here is worse than the visuals. It's clunky, filled with bugs. It's clear the developer had a goal for the game and put a lot of effort into the game design itself, but all of this effort is wasted when it's not upheld with a reasonable technical delivery. Resolution, controls are locked and there's no audio controls either, hammering down just how poor the technical delivery is. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. QuentBlast is a bowling RPG with an interesting gameplay mechanic in that of bowling a ball through pins in order to do damage to enemies. The concept of what QuentBlast is in terms of it's gameplay is fun. However, the battles you face with enemies are rather difficult as in the starting area you have little health and each enemy does a lot of damage. So it's easy to die and get a game over screen which is not fun. However, I do appreciate the style of QuentBlast which looks like a PS1 game with the humor of the cartoons of the late 90's. Though, I wish this game did not have enemies respawn once you go and defeat a bunch of enemies and your health is down and you restock on food to boost your health as it makes clearing the starting area very difficult. That being said, I give QuentBlast a 6/10. If they made changes to the starting area with mobs making it less difficult, I could see the game being a 6.5/10 or perhaps even a 7. I really dig the humor and the combat system. If your into bowling games or perhaps into the idea of bowling within an RPG. Give this a play.
