Raven's Hike

Very good platformer where you can't jump, walk or any of that fancy stuff. You have a hook and that is your only move, you can change your direction i mid air and that is a good thing because this game isn't easy. It is a short game, depending on your skill set of course. Mine is poor as you can see by my play time :) The game can get frustrating towards the end but never unfair. Nice pixel art as usual, the music is ok and the game is generally fun to play. If you like fast paced platformers than you can't go wrong with this one.

Nice game. Feels like an alternative to Sokoban and deserves more attention. A precision platformer with 5 worlds and several levels in each. The maps aren’t big, to open the exit gate you need to travel back and forth collecting gems while avoiding spikes, cloud monsters, and later on, moving spike boxes. The most distinctive mechanic is the lasso, which you use to reach different areas. With good control, you can practically fly around the map. It takes some time to master because the lasso accelerates, making longer trips harder to control midway. Fortunately, you can use the environment to help: bricks as stoppers and slow your fall, platforms give you a quick rest before firing the lasso again. The game starts out easy then gradually becomes difficult, especially once the pink spike boxes appear. They constantly follow your path, leaving you little time to think and forcing you to keep moving. I enjoyed this game very much. It’s hard, but not ridiculous. The only place I found almost impossible was in the final world, where two horizontally moving shuriken obstacles left me almost no room to pass. The rest of the game is manageable, and fun. A unique implementation of turn-based-ish platformer. Small cute game that is a bit rough around the edges, but is still enjoyable to play. I don't like how the developer limits levels to be one-screen only, but I think that there were reasons behind that (a possibility of infinite movement for example). I want more.

Absolutely charming movement puzzle game that combines time to think with bursts of quick, precise dexterity. It's really fun to puzzle out the best strategy to move your way through a level, and which skills you'll need (strategy, quick reflexes, timing, etc.). If you fail a level, you immediately resurrect back in the starting position with no consequence beyond losing your progress in the level, so you can happily try different strategies (though it can be frustrating to go back to the start after messing up one of your last moves). I've read in other reviews that later levels require quite a bit of quick reflexes, so I may have difficulty reaching the end, but I'd still happily recommend this game based on the levels I've played and enjoyed so far.
