About Redemption of Liuyin

Preface guidance

As the third installment of the Ryukyu Hidden series and the Ryukyu Hidden Nine Ultimate Reincarnation Chapter, the game is designed with a combat system that advocates for attack and the belief that hesitation will lead to defeat. The goal is to create a sweat drenched combat experience for players in every game.

Story outline

The story begins many years ago when a crystalline fragment of spirit stone suddenly appeared on the earth. It is rumored that this thing can cure a hundred diseases and regenerate nature. The rulers slaughtered extensively in order to collect more fragments, leading to separatist disputes and rampant monsters. This world seems to have become another hell. The protagonist is a member of a mysterious organization who sets foot on an ancient fortress in search of a divine artifact. They meet a group of cunning enemies and fight against the powerful enemies within the fortress, uncovering the truth behind the world's curse of decay.

Game features, integrated themes, fast-paced defense and counterattack battles

The ancient style is mystical and fantastical, with strange thoughts and deeds. The battles progress layer by layer, and the plot twists and turns.

Collect various martial arts skills and freely match your own system

In addition to honing their combat skills, players also need to analyze the characteristics and strategic strategies of their skill combinations. The game is designed with three sets of active and passive systems, allowing players to quickly familiarize themselves with and combine these skills to quickly defeat and suppress enemies.

Multi branch plot and ending

The game adopts a multi branch plot mode, where the order of defeating each branch will affect the original boss or plot structure, resulting in slightly different changes in the plot and drops. Increasing efforts to explore treasures and adventures can greatly reduce the difficulty of facing enemies. The game has a rich combination of skill strategies, a thrilling storyline, and dozens of different mechanisms of enemies.

Cool game for the price (Bet devs can come up with something real good with more support), I got a little lost at the beginning and had to backtrack. Sound feels off when walking in some places but overall combat is fun, not too easy not too hard (except a couple of bosses). Think is worth it for 1 playthrough (5-6hrs) and maybe 2 since the last boss I saw in a video was different than mine but both look pretty good. Not everything was translated to english (skills) but can def work with it. At the beginning I was a little bit skeptical since game feels and maybe is kinda low budget but it grew on me, kinda like Sifu.

I don't write many reviews, but I had to for this game. It is a lot of fun. It is well optimized. Gameplay is like a faster Sekiro. A lot of the same mechanics, but if Sekiro is your bag it translates over really well (even the rope dart). Combat is more stylized a little more like a hybrid between Devil May Cry and Sekiro.

Feels like a late PS2/PS3 game graphically. Sure the combat is initially jank at the start as you learn moves on your journey. Some of the moves seem a bit random and undirectional, "Change legs" but for some strange reason and my love for the "Wuxia Genre" I'm enjoying the game. Pushing through it and learning new ways to play it. And the fact it is not completely linear keeps drawing me back. The game can be so random tho as in you can kill a boss gain false confidence but then straight after get handled by a couple of grunts soon after LOL. And there are some cutscenes that I was sure would be QTE but it looks like they abandoned some of them during development. Anyway get the game on the bundle and don't expect too much. Customisation is not overly bloated. Just a simple weapons and skills tree. There is no English audio option despite what the menu says but there are Eng subs. Combat is rewarding once you get good. And the exploration is not so tedious. Especially with the ability to transport from save points. Currently stuck on a boss now. But I think Ill travel around the map a bit stock up on xp and come back to it later.
