This latest installment in the Liuyin series takes the formula fans already know and propels it into a futuristic setting. While the backdrop and themes are noticeably different, the core mechanics remain intact from the previous game. Assets are reused, gameplay foundations are familiar, and the biggest changes arrive in the form of new environments, redesigned enemy appearances, and small tweaks that slightly alter the way combat unfolds. From the very beginning, the controls are instantly recognizable to anyone who has played the earlier game. You still rely on a single main attack, which can be chained into a flowing combo simply by holding down the attack button. Movement is supported by a responsive dash that doubles as both an offensive gap-closer and a defensive tool for escaping danger. The parry button remains just as demanding as before, requiring razor-sharp timing to succeed, and of course, you have access to skills that expand your offense. The main distinction this time around is the replacement of the old throwing daggers with a gun. Functionally, it isn’t a dramatic departure; the weapon is still bound by limited uses and a short cooldown before it can be…6 found this helpful

While it can be a bit rough around the edges in terms of presentation, the explanation of mechanics, and translation, overall I've been enjoying the game quite a lot so far and I am looking forward to what the devs might have in mind next1 found this helpful
i only picked this game up because it showed up on my recommendations list so i was like "what the heck, why not" ive only played the game for about 30 minutes and so far i like it , its pretty straight forward , good little action adventure type of game for only $12 , graphics and sword play remind me of the newer ninja gaiden games , I see a lot of negative reviews and I think a lot of those people arent satisfied with anything in life , i would recommend this game for people that actually enjoy playing games for what they are and not always bashing every little thing wrong with a game , and for a game with this good of graphics and gameplay to be under $20 is amazing ...definitely worth the money.
This final part of the ARPG Liuyin Trilogy expands on its predecessors' with level designs that feel more metroidvania-like, improves/refines certain aspects of their gameplay, and adds a few new features to the series while maintaining their fast paced combat, easy to understand RPG growth mechanics, and progression structure. Quick Pros: -Good variety in bosses, enemies, attack skills, and locations/zones -Combat is easy to pick up but can be challenging at times -EXP grinding isn't necessary -Unlockable weapons offer different attack styles and effects rather than stat increases -Unlockable mantles offer different effects rather than stat increases -Decent amount of replay value with multiple endings through new routes and New Game Plus -Improvements from previous 2 games should be noticeable especially in level design and translation -Feels like a solid end to the series Quick Cons: -For those who've played either 1 of the 2 previous games: many boss & enemy designs are reused or some of their concepts are reused -Many music tracks are also reused -May not be a match for those looking for a more stat growth based RPG system -Story presentation can lack impact -Translation can…
