Replikant Chat

Nothing seems to work. I bought a subscription. I have tokens. All of the characters except Lucifer and the red-head kid have a woman's voice. Discord won't verify. I also have a Replikant editor account and they don't share tokens. I had high hopes for this app as I was about to start a project that would have been very similar.

The credit system feels like a joke. The game is free to download, but if you actually want to use it, you’re pushed into buying credits. You only get 10 free credits per week, and those can be gone after just a couple of messages. The AI also keeps forgetting things I’ve already told it, even basic details like my name, which makes the limited credits feel even more frustrating. The whole system feels unfair and very poorly balanced.

The AI models seem fairly limited in their ability. There's clearly a fair bit of censorship as the history bot wouldn't speak about some of the darker aspects of WWII history. The biggest issue i see is the credit system; they seem to price the credits fairly steep, and youll burn through them very fast. Overall - cool concept, but i think its too expensive to be anything other than a cool tech demo. It should also be said that most of the characters that were shown in the preview trailer are not actually available in the game.

I didn't expect to get this emotionally invested, but here I am. The dialogue system is smooth, and the art style perfectly complements the tone of the game. If you enjoy narrative-driven games with a unique twist, don't sleep on this one. 10/10.
