Overview
Shizuku and Akane...two pilots bound by rivalry and friendship battle to save their world from malevolent cosmic forces! Revolgear Zero is a deeply satisfying, local co-op enabled fast paced arcade style Shmup with tons of customization options and replay-ability!
Multi-directional boomerang style melee attacks, flamethrowers, burst lasers...a plethora of different weapons are at your disposal to combine and match as you customize your ship, battle waves of enemies and bosses though a variety of game modes including Local Co-Op Duo Play Mode and Boost Mode which allow you to alter game rules, engage in cooperative play or take on high-score challenges!
Story
Ribor....A remote planet situated at the edge of the universe...
From it, the pinnacle of human combat strength was created. They called it the “Revolgear”, a highly advanced space fighter piloted only by the best of the best.
When a malevolent force known as Xeno, thought to originate from beyond a black hole, threatens their home planet, two revolgear pilots and unlikely partners, Shizuka and Akane, are brought together to stop it! As their rivalry turns to friendship through a psychic bond forged in their respective ships, the Pheasant and the Dove, they also uncover personal truths about themselves...
Where will their paths lead them in this universe torn by war...?
Characters
Shizuku, the genetically engineered super pilot with a fleeting lifespan. Her favorite food is hamburgers and her hobby is playing video games.
Akane, the driven ace pilot from an elite military family. She has a sweet tooth and enjoys performing magic tricks.
Gameplay
Control the super advanced Revolgear space fighters Pheasant or Dove, and use your precise movement skills, strategic weapon usage and combat prowess to earn extra lives and maximize your score!
Use the Bit Shoot attack for a boomerang style melee attack, the burst system for a powerful energy beam attack and tons and tons of other different weapons and load-outs you unlock as you play!Features

Good shmup Lots of unlockable weapons (they're all broken) Recently got an update to add 4 new ships (well, 2 ships and 2 "ships"), idk if there's more to come but it's really nice Runs are very short and it's very beginner friendly, so even if you're not that into shmups, if it looks cool to you, check it out And with all the weapons and stuff, the game has a lot of variety; even if you struggle, you'll always unlock new weapons to check out in your next runs5 found this helpful
Plays sorta like a cross between Biometal and Graze Counter with Axelay/Gradius style level design. Compared to Graze Counter I don't like the soundtrack or characters or overall whole package as much really but it's still a solid shump on its own merits (it's a high bar)2 found this helpful
It's fun though maybe a bit easy with how it both gives you a 1 hit shield that's extremely easy to recover and throws out extra lives like candy. The bit throw is a nice mechanic. For difficulty reference: The 1CC achievement has an almost 60% unlock rate!1 found this helpful
not only it is rare to see a good shmup in 2026, but it has coop too. a fun simple gradius-like but with the graze mechanic. 8 ships to unlock with a bunch of weapons to change out.1 found this helpful
cool horizontal shmup with a lot of variety in the weapons and level design. it's a bit on the easy side, even on the hardest difficulty, but the amount of different endings, unlockables, and experimenting with builds you can do helps to make up for that. soundtrack is bangin too1 found this helpful
Unique shmup the doesn't have power ups on the stages. Great variety of enemies to fight, well designed stages, and fun boss fights! There's a lot of content too and playable characters. Great ship customization too! Fantastic game, good job Bikkuri Software! 8/10
