About Road Madness

✦ AI summary

This game was obtained legally as part of the DIG Super Bundle 68 and Groupees The 50 - Battlestorm Bundle. All unused Steam keys were later revoked/resold without prior warning or notification. No explanation was provided to customers who obtained the game legitimately through those bundles. I’m leaving this review to inform other users and to encourage transparency regarding key revocations that affect legitimate customers.

P. S. If you have difficulties in the walktrough, this guide will be very useful: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3561496240
DEATH RALLY, if Remedy didn’t know how to make games
This is an arcade racing game with automatic controls, where the goal is to smash obstacles with machine guns and rocket launchers while collecting coins on a car running along three lanes. The game has only six levels and six types of vehicles (four regular cars, an armored jeep, and a moped), which only differ in price and speed, but nothing in their handling is truly different. They tried to add a story, but it comes off as the author’s crazy ramble: supposedly, after a nuclear war, the people’s leaders organized weapon races to clear the Earth of the “weak and unfaithful.” Spoiler: even after finishing all the levels, no one actually explains anything about it. Main issues with the game: - Tons of bugs and glitches: cars fly through textures, physics is totally broken, can't dodge obstacles when the car speeds up. - Shooting is completely useless — it doesn’t impact gameplay or help you get through levels. - Graphics are awful, worse than a lot of mobil…

Road Madness is a small-scale indie arcade racing title developed and published by Faton, presenting a chaotic blend of high-speed driving and light vehicular combat set within a bleak post-apocalyptic future. The game attempts to capture the spirit of classic arcade racers where reflexes and survival matter more than realistic vehicle physics or detailed simulations. Rather than offering complex racing systems or expansive tracks, Road Madness focuses on straightforward gameplay that revolves around navigating hazardous roads, avoiding traps, and blasting through obstacles while collecting resources along the way. Its premise is simple and somewhat ambitious for a small independent project, though the final experience ultimately reflects the limitations of its modest development scope. The game’s narrative backdrop imagines a world devastated by the exhaustion of global oil reserves. According to the lore presented at the beginning, intense competition for the last remaining resources escalated into worldwide conflict that eventually culminated in nuclear catastrophe. Civilization collapsed, and what remained of humanity became fragmented and ruled by violent warlords and crimina…
