I only had a quick look and did the first few missions, and I need to disagree with many of the other reviewers. I think the game is, considering it was released in 2016, good, and gets the job done. The few missions I've checked out were fun and varied, the graphics are okay at least. The movement is arcade-like, and I don't mean that in a negative sense, the controls feel accurate enough. Remember you're playing as a bomb squad robot, naturally, the controls are somewhat stiff. I think it's a nice charming simulator out there. We all know that games who have a "Simulator" in their title should be taken with a grain of salt, but I feel comfortable say that this is one of the better simulators there. Please don't buy it for 15 bucks, though. The game CONSTANTLY goes on sale for less than a buck, buy it there, and I'm positive you won't regret it for that small amount of money. I'll give the game a solid 7/10.1 found this helpful
Robot Squad Simulator 2017 is a specialized simulation title developed by Bit Golem and published by Ultimate Games S.A. that places players in the role of a remote robotics operator tasked with handling dangerous missions where human presence would be impractical or lethal. Rather than focusing on traditional action or fast-paced combat, the game emphasizes deliberate control, situational awareness, and the careful use of technology. From its premise alone, it positions itself as a niche experience aimed at players intrigued by real-world robotics, military-grade machinery, and methodical problem-solving rather than spectacle. The structure of the game revolves around a series of training exercises followed by a campaign of story-driven missions spread across varied environments. These missions range from bomb disposal and reconnaissance to rescue operations and underwater exploration. Each scenario is designed to showcase a different application of robotics, encouraging players to think like operators rather than soldiers. The pacing is intentionally slow, requiring patience as objectives are completed step by step, often under constraints such as limited visibility, hostile sur…1 found this helpful
I will be blunt his game is pretty boring. I have no idea how I got this game, might have been from a bundle but I can only guess why it was in a bundle to begin with.
The game controls bad, doesn't have anything particularly entertaining about it, and was a waste of my time to try to play. I do not recommend it. This is the only game that comes to mind that I've played that I would actively steer people away from.
Interesting idea but poor controls make this game more tedious than fun.
Its basically good. BUT all the hinting arrows ruin the experience. Even more than that it should have been an open world game. Everything feels staged and forced.
