About ROIDERS
BECOME AN ASTEROID MINER

Loot the precious gems contained within the asteroids and use them to upgrade your spaceship from the most basic vessel into a steamrolling death machine!
SINGLEPLAYER

Stand your ground against waves of vicious alien ships. Fight through galaxies of increasing difficulty and ultimately challenge the boss alien.
As your ship grows stronger from looting, for each level-up you'll be provided a choice of various upgrades to select. Take a moment to think about how you'll build your ship as all upgrades unlock interesting and valuable abilities!
MULTIPLAYER

Instead of aliens you will fight against other miners in PvP multiplayer matches of up to 16 contestants.
Allocate your loot in real time into upgrade levels to make your ship perform the way it needs to to come out on top!
What Steam players say

Players praise this Asteroids-inspired shmup for its engaging progression system, accessible difficulty curve, and nostalgic-yet-modern gameplay that appeals to both casual and younger players. However, progression becomes severely unbalanced at later stages, where players face an impossible choice between armor and damage builds that leads to unavoidable death, compounded by physics-based pinballing that can trap progression entirely. Some also note that the classic control scheme, while rewarding for those who enjoy it, may frustrate players preferring more modern input options.
Requested a refund - was really enjoying the game, despite the crashes I'd experienced, but upon hitting the third, and possibly final, system in the game, progression is SO fundamentally broken, that it feels not possible to get further than the 2nd wave of the system. You either have to spec in an armour direction, with no ability to do damage (and, thus, get swarmed by enemies and die), or spec in a damage direction, with no ability to survive (and, thus, die in two rockets hits). The physics, which were relatively fun early on, caused their own problems as you pinball off asteroids around you either right into enemy fire or you come to a complete stop with no ability to gain enough forward momentum (or any forward momentum) to not die. It sapped every bit of enjoyment I was getting out of the game that I no longer wanted to deal with it anymore.3 found this helpful
I have to give this a thumbsup, as it's a great little shmup! I hope there will be more control customisation, as the Asteroids(1980) type controls won't be for everyone, including me with my sausage fingers! But it is immediately rewarding, and even better the longer that you play.3 found this helpful
Combines the look and feel (ship centric display) of Asteroids, which I played on the Atari 7800 console in the early 90s, with modern elements (e. g. progression & reward system). Even as a casual gamer, I got into it quickly and the new features are motivating. My four-year-old son watched and also found it very exciting.2 found this helpful
