Mega Roids

Mega Roids focuses on classic arcade gameplay with a modern touch. You control a spaceship in space, destroy asteroids and enemies, and try to survive as long as possible. The game stands out with smooth controls, fast pacing, and clear mechanics. However, it lacks variety and depth, causing the gameplay to feel repetitive over longer periods. Still, Mega Roids is a solid choice for fans of old-school shooters looking for a straightforward challenge.

So far I have played the first level and once I figured out what was going on, it was fun and challenging. I made it to the second level which is a canyon run with turrets on the edges shooting at you. Similar to the old death star trench run. I didn't last very long and need to give it some more time and see if I can get better at that. I was having a hard time seeing the guns that were actually shooting at me. This game is in the style of older classic games and doesn't hold your hand. You kind of have to figure it out by playing. The old school leaderboard keeps you going trying to find ways to beat your best score. Also, you really should play it with a controller. If you are looking for some retro action, it won't cost you much to give this one a try. Game was fun and and quite challenging. Highly recommend playing with controller instead of keyboard mouse. Some music would make the gaming experience more immersive.

Old school arcade fun
