About Room No. 9

What starts as plan to enjoy a nice trip with your best friend after a hard breakup takes a nightmarish turn when both of you wake to find yourselves trapped in a hotel room. Your only way out is it to participate in your captors' twisted experiment and complete 10 stressful tasks within 10 days.

What kind of tasks? - You and your best friend have to choose.

Will you do increasingly sexual and humiliating things to your friend? Will you let your friend do physical harm to you?

Can the two of you survive these trials? Can you keep your bond intact?

Room No. 9 does not shy away from exploring the emotional impact each choice has on both sides of the task, nor the struggle to choose. But just like the characters, will you also find yourself debating each choice less and less as the stakes escalate?

✦ AI summary

Players consistently praise the game's high production quality, compelling psychological storytelling, strong character development, and well-executed H-scenes that feel narratively relevant rather than gratuitous. However, some players find the game's darker content (particularly certain graphic scenes) to be either too brief or not intense enough depending on their preferences, and there's some ambivalence about the game's non-romantic, trauma-focused narrative direction.

It's kind of cute, I don't really feel like it did the premise of having two straight guys being forced together too well since Daichi clearly already had feelings for Seiji, and if I had to guess Seiji is the one behind them being kidnapped in the first place, so it didn't really feel like they were that straight to begin with. Though to be fair, I did just run through the different endings which are past the point where they're struggling with having to be intimate with each other, so that may be biasing my perception. The guro is relatively weak, it felt like more of an afterthought to give a bit of a break from the relentless ero scenes. The ero definitely got repetitive too, and I had to mute it bc of all of the intimate noises. If anyone has misophonia, this is a VN best enjoyed mostly muted. The voice acting isn't bad though, so I found myself only muting during the sex scenes. I did enjoy the psychological aspects of the situation and how Daichi and Seiji were affected or not affected by the things which happened in the room in the various endings. The "good" ending felt appropriately satisfying, and some of the bad endings were enjoyably bleak. If the premise seem…

This game is more a psychological horror, with a side of fetish content. The game is relatively short for an eroge and the multiple choices are very limited and really only impact your ending within the last segment and can take you maybe ~30 mins to an hour per ending from that point. Otherwise the story is linear and stays the same until these choices are made. You may need to turn on the "Easy mode" setting if you don't want to repeat a lot to complete the short array of endings because its very easy to get the same one. In terms of content, its mostly just sex, including noncon and bdsm. Theres a warning for scat but I believe its only one scene that repeats in almost all the routes and the game offers a setting to turn it off completely, there is also gore but that is a very small portion of the game and seems to be exclusive to one route and isn't very intense if you were to be into that. Like for scat, you can also turn visual gore off in settings. If you think there is a good ending, no there is not. It usually turns to ♥♥♥♥ for these two, so if you're after that you're not gonna like this.
